Why I Love the Presence’s of Yahweh
Hello, my name is Taniya Harris. I am 12 years old and I dance with The Presence’s of Yahweh’s Dance Company.
I love The Presence’s of Yahweh because, not only are they my dance group, but they are also my family. They are always there for me. The head of The Presence of Yahweh, Ms. LaShaunda, has taught me to be closer with God. I’m still working on it, but she is with me the whole stop of the way. That’s why I love her.
My dancing has improved along with my confidence. I have learned to become the dance itself, which is one of the things Ms. LaShaunda teaches. She teaches this because she wants us to be able to take our true story and when we tell our true story we can begin to heal. I like the different styles that she teaches because I get to learn more. TPY is a good place to be.
